In conjunction with the Vodafone technical team, Satellite wired up the Transmission Room venue to stream local band Evermore live in concert to 3G handsets.
This was the first ever live-streamed to mobile event in Australasia. To mark the Vodafone Music web store launch in November 2006, Satellite live-streamed the Vodafone Music Session gig from Auckland’s St James theatre featuring Chingy and PNC, to thousands of Vodafone 3G handsets.
The show was wicked, and hundreds of fans were able to watch it live on their Vodafone mobile from wherever they were in the country.
